FAQ

Questions about Rhopē

What is Rhopē?

Rhopē (roh-pay) is a free web tool with two sides. Founders use the Pitch room to practise their opening pitch and the questions investor panels ask, with instant coaching. Science parks, incubators and other pitch-day hosts use the audit side to see which kinds of questions their investor panel asked each founder, and to brief the next panel.

Why does Rhopē exist?

Research by Dana Kanze and colleagues found that investors tend to ask men founders about growth and potential, and women founders about risk and what could go wrong. Founders asked growth questions raised far more money. Rhopē exists to change that pattern from both sides: by helping founders turn risk questions into growth answers, and by helping hosts notice and correct the pattern in their investor panels.

What does the name mean?

Rhopē is the Greek word for the moment the scale tips: the point where a decision changes direction.

Who is the Pitch room for?

Any founder preparing to meet an angel investor, a venture capital fund, a bank or a public funder. It was designed with women founders in mind, because they are more often asked risk questions, but anyone can use it.

How does the Pitch room work?

You enter a few details about your company, then practise your opening pitch out loud or in writing and get feedback with a stronger model version. Then you answer investor questions chosen for your business and stage, either in a live spoken conversation or by typing. At the end you get a readiness report you can download as a PDF or a Google Docs file.

What is a risk question and a growth question?

A risk question asks about what could go wrong, for example “How will you manage your cash if sales are slow?”. A growth question asks about what could go right, for example “How big could this become?”. The Pitch room shows you how to answer a risk question in a way that points back to growth.

Who is the audit side for?

Science parks, incubators, accelerators and anyone who hosts a pitch day with an investor panel. You privately note which pitches were woman-led or man-led, then count the questions by hand, paste a meeting transcript or listen live. Rhopē shows the pattern across the day and writes a short brief for the next investor panel.

Does Rhopē name or blame investors?

No. No investor is named and no one is judged. The aim is to show a pattern that is bigger than any one person, so a host can share it with the next panel and things improve over time.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no login and no account. Your work stays in your browser tab and disappears when you close it.

Is anything saved?

Your answers, company details and reports are not saved. Investor questions found in transcripts and spoken practice are added, without any names, to a shared anonymous question bank so that practice keeps getting more realistic. Your browser also remembers that you have seen the audit welcome guide.

Does Rhopē guess anyone’s gender?

Never. On the audit side, the host enters each pitch slot as woman-led, man-led or mixed before the day, based on what founders chose at sign-up. The AI is never asked to work it out.

Can Rhopē help me find investors?

Yes. From your readiness report, Rhopē searches the web for investors that match your region, funding type, sector and stage, and for local incubators, science parks and business centres where you can book a meeting. Only anonymous criteria are sent, never your name or pitch.

How much does Rhopē cost?

Rhopē is currently free to use. It is a prototype built at Lovable SheBuilds 2026.
